Our Coaches
Janine Pereira - Owner/Head Coach
Hi, I'm Janine Yawney Pereira.
My love for fitness started back in Saskatchewan, Canada, where I grew up as one of seven siblings. Our dad had us running long distances in all kinds of weather — yes, even the freezing cold! We stayed active year-round with speed skating, softball, and rugby, and that passion for movement has stuck with me ever since.
When I moved to Prescott to raise my three amazing kids, I quickly found myself immersed in the local fitness scene. I’ve had the privilege of working with people of all ages and fitness levels, and I love helping others find their strength — both physically and mentally.
Monsoon is my first solo-owned gym, and I couldn't be more proud of the community we've built. It’s a place where hard work meets good vibes, and everyone is welcome — whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting your journey.
If you're looking for a supportive, fun, and down-to-earth gym family, Monsoon is the place for you. We can’t wait to meet you!
Brody Fields - Coach
I have been involved with fitness coaching since 2003 certified through the American Council on Excersise As a personal trainer. I have been heavily involved in CrossFit style workouts for the last 12 years. I work as a fire Captain with Cafma fire dist. My one goal as your trainer is to help our clients realize their potential, while motivating an all inclusive guide to healthy living and movement patterns
Taylor Cooper - Coach
With over two decades of experience in the health and wellness space, Taylor brings a unique and deeply holistic approach to coaching. At 42, she’s a lifelong mover — blending her background as a yoga and Pilates instructor, certified personal trainer, massage therapist, mountain bike rider, runner, and CrossFit coach into a powerful, well-rounded practice.
Her philosophy is simple but profound: movement is medicine. Whether it’s building strength, lifting your mood, healing from trauma, or managing stress — she believes there’s nothing that mindful movement can’t help. And when you do it in a community of kind, like-minded souls, that’s where the magic really happens.
Taylor is passionate about creating workouts that don’t just challenge you physically but leave your heart a little lighter and your day a little brighter. Her goal is to help you realize that if you can get through a workout, you can get through anything. She emphasizes mobility as much — if not more — than strength, aiming to help you build functional movement patterns that carry into every area of your life, for the rest of your life.
Come for the workout — leave stronger, more grounded, and connected.
